Cookie Policy

The short version: this site sets no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, and no analytics. Here is exactly what it does store, and why.

The short version

We do not use cookies to track you. There is no analytics package on this site, no advertising pixel, no session recorder, and no cross-site tracking of any kind. That is why you are not being shown a cookie consent banner: under the ePrivacy rules, a banner is required for storage that is not strictly necessary, and we do not do any.

The one thing we store on your device is your light or dark theme preference. Everything below explains what that is and how to remove it.

What a cookie actually is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on every subsequent request. Because it is sent back automatically, a cookie can be used to recognise a returning visitor, which is what makes tracking possible.

Browsers offer other kinds of storage too, notably local storage. Local storage is not sent back to the server automatically. It sits on your device and is only readable by code running on the page. That distinction matters for what follows.

What we store

NameTypePurposeExpires
themeLocal storageRemembers whether you chose the light or dark appearance, so the site does not flash the wrong one on your next visit.Stays until you clear your browser data

That is the whole list. This value never leaves your browser, it is not sent to us or to anyone else, and it contains nothing that could identify you.

Cookies we do not set

To be unambiguous about it, this site contains none of the following:

  • Analytics or measurement cookies, including Google Analytics.
  • Advertising, retargeting, or conversion-tracking pixels, including those from Meta, LinkedIn, or Google Ads.
  • Session recording or heatmap tools.
  • Social media embed cookies. Our social links are plain links, not embedded widgets.
  • Any cookie that persists an identifier for you across visits or across sites.

How to control storage

Every browser lets you view and delete site storage, and block it going forward. The controls sit under Settings, then Privacy, in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Clearing storage for this site will forget your theme preference, and the site will fall back to your system setting. Nothing else will break.

If this changes

If we ever add analytics or any other non-essential storage, we will update this page before it goes live and add a proper consent banner at the same time, so that nothing non-essential is set until you agree to it.
